A spectacular set of songs by distinguished and versatile composer Andre Previn. These four songs for Tenor and Piano are based on texts by Philip Larkin and William Carlos Williams. The feeling and depth of emotion captured by these authors is only emphasised and exaggerated by Previn’s masterful composition, at times flowing and airy then sad and reflective.

The work was written for and premiered by Anthony Dean Griffey at Zankel Hall in New York City on October 23, 2004, with the composer at the Piano.
