They offer the opportunity to practice soloing with a band at your convenience with a collection of solos written over a series of different chord changes and styles such as straight-ahead jazz, funk, swing, R and B, Latin, Blues and more.

Giving more than just chord scales, each book gives an actual idea to base your solos around. Each track on the CD has a short version to match the length of the transcribed solo, and a long version (without the solo) to improvise over. In this way you can study Eric's solos and pick and choose the licks you prefer to help build your own solo. This approach takes the recorded play-along concept one step further.
