Cantata for the 15th Sunday after Trinity

Bach’:s famous cantata for solo soprano, trumpet, strings and basso continuo BWV 51, “:Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen”:, was probably composed in 1730 in Leipzig. The soprano and trumpet parts are particularly captivating due to their virtuosity.

For a performance in Halle Bach’:s oldest son Wilhelm Friedemann expanded the original scoring for numbers 1 and 4 by the addition of a second trumpet and timpani, increasing the brilliance of the work even more.



W. F. Bach’:s arrangement has now been published for the first time as supplementary performance material. This version can be combined with the existing string parts.
