This work for solo B, SA semichorus, SATB choir and organ was commissioned by the Friends of Bath Abbey to mark the 500th anniversary of the consecration of the present church, begun in 1499 by Bishop Oliver King. It was first performed in October 1999 by the Choirs of Bath Abbey conducted by Peter King.
