Verbum Caro Factum Est by Paul Mealor for SATB divisi chorus, 4 trumpets in Eb, timpani, percussion and organ.

Verbum Caro Factum Est was commissioned by the University of St Andrews Alumni Club, London for the 600th anniversary of the founding of the University of St Andrews and first performed at St Paul's Cathedral, London on 20 December 2012, in the presence of Her Royal Highness The Princess Alexandra, by St Salvator's Chapel Choir, Thomas Wilkinson (organ) and The State trumpeters of Her Majesty's Life Guards, conducted by Michael Downes.

At the first performance of Verbum Caro Factum Est readings were interspersed as indicated in the score. In a concert performance these sections may be used as short organ cadenzas.
