Spectrum 4 is a stimulating collection of specially commissioned miniatures by 66 contemporary composers. With pieces ranging from grade 1 to grade 4, this volume is a perfect introduction to the music of today, as well as being a rich resource for pianists of all ages and abilities.

The book is complete with a CD of accompanying soundtracks for five of the compositions. Among the roll call of post-modern masters are such celebrated composers as Alejandro Vinao, Param Vir, Michael Finnissy and Sir Peter Maxwell Davies.
