Virgil Thomson was and still is renowned for his musical 'portraits' of friends and famous personalities of the day. These three have been transcribed for Violin with Piano accompaniment. They comprise portraits of the poets Georges Hugnet and Lise Deharme and Thomson's friend Flavie Alvarez de Toledo. For quite advanced players.
